And Obama pretended to be "open minded" about abortion etc enough to fool those who were not astute.

Apparently, almost half the people think the right direction for the U. S. A. is toward bankruptcy.
And apparently, we are expected to be encouraged by that.

Actually, it’s an invite only poll, with responses given online and not over the phone. I take these regularly. All in all, they are decent surveys.
What ever happened to his aunt who was illegal and living in public (tax subsidized) housing project (while making illegal campaign contributions to her nephew)? Never heard anything else.
His Aunt has probably been very well taken care of by now...

It's quite logical and the article itself explains it.
There has been virtually no change in the direction question among Republican base voters. Choosing "right direction" in the most recent survey were: Republicans 9%, McCain voters 5% and conservatives 6%. The movement toward "right direction" from January 8, prior to the Obama Inauguration, to January 26 came from Obama voters, and that has continued. For example, these are the increases in those choosing "right direction" between the March 5 poll and this most recent one: Democrats +9, Obama voters +8, liberals +7 and African-Americans +13.
Basically, Dem voters and media were very negative during Bush presidency waning days, and became more and more positive on "change" in direction with the Obama. Republican voters are being a lot more honest and see the "change" for what it really is - out of control spending and taxing, "buying" slightly better economy with high deficits and debt, continued radical agenda on climate, healthcare, education, unions, and so on...
True numbers are actually even worse, if taken into account that Dems represent substantial plurality over Republicans in these polls, due to higher registration and/or self-identification to the pollsters, though the latter may soon start changing.
