Court File Reveals The Violent Life Of Oakland Shooter

OAKLAND, Calif. -- While Lovell Shawn Mixon may not have been well known to even those who lived in his Oakland neighborhood, his violent lifestyle had long ago placed him on law enforcement’s radar screen, according to court documents.

KTVU has obtained the court file of the man who allegedly killed for Oakland police officers last weekend – two of them execution style.

The file is nearly an inch thick and reveals a life turned violent beginning at the age of 13 and ending in a gun battle with SWAT officers at 26.

Raised by his mother in Atlanta until he was 13. Mixon immediately got in trouble once he arrived in the Bay Area. He was arrested for battery at 13 and then again at 14 and again at 16.

According to the file, he was arrested in 2000 with crack cocaine and marijuana and was sentenced to 30 days in jail after a no-contest plea to the cocaine charge.

He was back in jail for a short stay in 2001 for stealing six PlayStation video game consoles from a Target store and a Toys R Us.

A year later, he was arrested for a violent carjacking at 5th and Mission in San Francisco. He was sent to Corcoran State Prison on a 6-year sentence and his icy demeanor led his probation officer to write:

“(Mixon was) a cold-hearted individual who does not have any regards for human life… (prison offered the only way to) rein in this man’s proclivity for violence.”

He was paroled in 2007 and authorities told KTVU they suspect Mixon’s level of violence escalated since his release.

Mixon was a suspect in an Oakland killing over a drug debt, but wasn’t charged. He did return to prison, however, for seven months on parole violations, the documents revealed.

On Friday, a day before his deadly gun spree, investigators discovered that Mixon’s DNA had linked him to the rape of a 12-year-old neighborhood girl. The young girl helped investigators come up with a sketch of the rapist.

Police said that sketch strongly resembles Mixon; Investigators were using his DNA to see if he was responsible for five other rapes.

We need thug control, not gun control.

Unless they meant to say that this guy was working for the police.

He should not have even been kept alive let alone paroled!

They seen it coming and should have put him down before he even had a chance to do more harm.

Sigh... Good catch. Lousy state of journalism these days when a college dropout like myself has to proofread their garbage before I post it.

It is rampant these days, I find typos and words left out of sentences all the time. I guess they can’t be bothered with proofreading these days.

The unlimited artificial demand for illegitimate children has created an unlimited supply of them. Born to indifferent mothers and absent fathers, we have created an army of soulless monsters. Mixon was just one of them.

Heard on the news this morning the killer had a tattoo of an assault rifle on one arm, and a tattoo of a person being shot in the head on the other arm.

Alarm bells, anyone?

There are a few nutcases out there lauding this guy as a black resistance fighter. Wonder what they think of him raping a 12 y.o. neighborhood girl?

Another example of why violent offenders should be executed rather than put in prison and released. If they are too dangerous to live among lawbiding citizens they should be put to sleep like dogs. We do that for dangerous dogs.

As an aside, it is alleged that in some inner city neighborhoods, some black residents are embracing a “pseudo-Islamic” idea that when a black criminal is killed by the police, if he kills some police first, he will go to Muslim heaven and be rewarded with 72 virgins.

It plays off of several twisted psychologies. First, that blacks are a “victim” class, that will receive a heavenly reward for their “suffering” on Earth, and being “oppressed” in America.

Second, that white people, and especially the police, are to be seen as Muslims see despised infidels, or even atheists. Killing them is not only tolerable, and a form of resistance, but admirable, because they are evil and Allah hates them.

Third, is the sexual element of the Islamic misinterpretation of “virgins” in place of “raisins”. That by killing police officers, a black criminal will be rewarded with sexual favors in heaven. That is, given 72 virgins to deflower as sex toys.

Do not look for any internal logic, consistency, or anything other than just the shallowest of rationalizations to not just excuse, but justify criminal and violent behavior.

They'll probably rationalize it by saying she asked for it, led him on, etc. Statutory rape is quite common in the 'hood and not really frowned upon.

In Oakland they Jail Pro-Life Preachers for sidewalk pro-life assistance. Yes thirty days in the hole for that crime.
For the violent long time criminal, turned murdering rapist, give him parole, the jails are too full.

I mean nothing on the fine officer's that were needlessly murdered, but what does Oakland expect to happen when they so blatantly disrespect Life?

Crazies are running the court system, no not crazies, criminals are running it.

A one man crime wave. One bullet years ago would have saved a lot of human pain.

Monsters such as this animalb are useful to the left because it helps them get gun control passed. In jail - or the ground where he belonged - he wouldn’t haveb been useful to the libs, hence his parole.

I don't think it's working so well this time. people have wised up and realized that we need guns to protect us from the Lovelle Mixons of the world. In a way, this has backfired with Mixon demonstrating perfectly that gun control doesn't work. Here we have a violent parolee in possession of a weapon that isn't even legal in California. How many gun laws did Mixon break during his rampage? I'll be damned if I'm gonna turn mine in because California feels the need to let violent felons run loose.

It is California's parole system that's going to take the hit here among reasonable people. Not their gun laws.

Instead we send him to Corcoran where he earns a six year degree in violent criminal behavior, walking free a super-predator where, as henkster pointed out in post #6, he's but one in an army of soulless monsters; criminal predators and thugs possessing IQs in the 70s, unemployable, sociopathic, impossible to reason with, committing acts of violence on impulse with no fear of consequences or remorse. They rotate in and out of prison while siring children during their brief bouts of freedom. They'll contribute nothing to society, only to steal, vandalize, destroy, main, kill and reproduce children from females who live idly off various taxpayer-funded entitlements.

And they want the rest of us to turn in our guns.

The creation of this horde was fully intentional, too, becuase a dangerous and easily manipulated (read dependent and uneducated) thug class is a useful tool for marxists trying to disarm and take over a society. Just look at the UK and the rest of old europe, not to mention the Middle East.
