"Is drug use in the US on the rise, flat or declining?"

I don't know if it is or not, but one thing I do know is that if we would end our senseless prohibition on our side of the border, it would pull the rug out from under the drug cartels in Mexico that supply our illicit drug users. Their profits from drugs would vanish almost overnight. Much of the gang violence in our inner cities would also be reduced, because much of that violence is because of drugs being in a black market. Also, ending prohibition would do FAR more to reduce crimes committed with firearms MUCH more than any stupid gun control law ever could.

Horseshirt. They'd do anything to maintain their cash flow, including go to war against the suburbs. You have no idea how these thugs think.
