This is exactly why our founding fathers wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Some fuzz brain is always quoting police chiefs, etc., when the bottom line is that we should listen to them on only a very narrow range of items. They instead should listen to us and we should enforce our constitutional rights.
If this sort of thing had gone on in the early years of this nation, the Republican Party could never have come into being when the Whigs equivocated about slavery.
