You are exactly correct. Juan McLame did everything possible to LOSE the election. He was clearly a setup from the beginning of the campaign.

I've believed that from the get-go. I wouldn't be surprised if he was told to bring her on because they thought she was a sure loser. His job was simply to provide a name for the GOP campaign, not to win.
