I certainly agree with you on the difficulties -- but as you say, the mullahs would be less likely to contact them here than if, say, they were in Iran.

There's no "good" side to their being let go ... At best, we have a better chance of tracking them here than elsewhere.

In the end, I say move them to an undisclosed location under guard for awhile (Nowhere near the US).

Should have been done in the first place, instead political theater ruled the day.
