I did not sleep all night Thursday night. I know how you feel. I think Dear Leader and his statist co-horts have succeeded in doing so much damage all at once that we are all punch-drunk. We can’t keep up with all the bills and initiatives. Add to that, the americans who are disengaged have no idea what is going on.

I agree that we should all be in Washington right now with our torches and pitchforks. God. Geitner wants our dollar to be subverted to the global currency! That bill just passed which will have the children in education camps wearing uniforms! The budget! The foreign policy gaffes! Hillary’s gaffe re: No.Korea! BHO’s disrespect to our allies! It is all too much to be believed. :(

I think we need a Conservative to give a speech like that to Obama!

Yes we need that, but I’m afraid he would just laugh at anything conservative. He is bent on destroying the American culture in favor of his racism/socialism/communism.

...I'm afraid I am not particularly optimistic.

Well, I gotta confess I'm certainly not overly optimistic since what little I know of history doesn't point to a bright future for our Republic. It could be different this time but it would probably be the only exception to the rule we will ever witness.

Tyrants/Tyranny give/s up NOTHING without a fight and I don't think anyone would argue we are not staring tyrants and tyranny squarely in the face. Who do we have to blame for our predicament but ourselves? The People were and are the sovereigns in this experiment notwithstanding the concerted efforts of our would-be masters to convince us otherwise. If this mess is to be cleaned up; if we are to reclaim our position as sovereigns in this equation, we'll likely have to take it.

BTW, in case anybody noticed, I had post #57 removed because it turns out the video was not only foul, but was a piece of parody to boot.

Thank you for all the time you put into keeping us informed about States’ Rights. BTW the speech by Daniel was great.

You're most welcome. It seems like such a small thing but it's something I can do to at least encourage others to stay informed and become involved in this movement. Hannan was great!

I think we need Newt to bring Obama down to size!

The problem is we may know too much about our politicians. < /semi-sarc> While Newt is an excellent speaker and probably knows this material better than 99% of all other politicians, he comes with attached baggage. Even here on FR Newt catches all manner of flack for his indiscretions. Not so with libtards where it seems the more checkered their past and more perverted their present circumstances, Dim pols are held in high esteem by their flock for stickin' it to the man. Sickening moonbats! Point being, what do we know about Daniel Hannan aside from his ability to articulate what most of us fervently believe?

I’m really starting to like this guy. He’s very clear, and an overall great speaker.

I know about his indiscretions but to make a speech about Obama would just take him down a peg or two!

I just went back and watched it again; very compelling. While it was a master stroke, I don't know if it's the speech so much itself, or if it's just that we are so rarely treated to anything approaching it.

No doubt. Maybe he's working on a barn burner and just waiting for the right time to deploy it. Surely he of all people must realize the approaching storm if the federal beast is not restrained.

I get the feeling, whether right or wrong, there are a lot of folks impatiently waiting for a spark to set things in motion. I suspect Newt could probably do it with the right speech at the right time. He being not only a student of history but a professor, may have a better idea about timing than the rest of us.

The only thing that will bring Zero down to size is his real long form birth certificate.

Personally, I think he was born in a hut in Kenya and has no BC, other than the short form of live firth he requested and received from the state of Hawaii.
