TRUE! If people can VOTE without an ID because they are so poor, then they can BUY and/or OWN a gun without an ID, if they can;t afford the ID! The PRECEDENT is SET!!

But the Full Auto Ban Amendment never REALLY passed! It was just on a voice vote, and the Nays WAY outweighed the Yeas on the Amendment’s adoption ballot! I heard it! Tip O’Neal just PROCLAIMED that it passed, to the GASPS of many in attendence, and the minority Repubs could not challenge him because of the parlimentary rules in effect at the time! HONEST! History!

Amen Brother!
I don't let the lawyers get in the way of my freedom. Some day when I'm told to turn in my bullets, I'll give the bullets to them at 2900 Ft/Sec.

I agree,
how about those states north of the Potomac and maybe throw IL and Quebec for Canada in for good measure.

Well take the south, midwest and AK but only providing all conservatives are free to move here form their hell holes and all liberals will be returned or sent to their new liberal soft on child molesters, soft on immigrations, have their homo perverted marriage , high taxed utopia.

Note I say conservatives move here not all republicans as some of the republicans I ave met up in the north east are more like liberals.

No I am not joking either, I have had enough of liberals coming down here with their special groups and lawsuits telling us down here how to live and what is right or wrong to say and think.

If it happened I would not lose any sleep on losing the likes of MA

and what’s to stop them from passing HR 45, Blair Holt’s Licensing and Registration and thus creating a database anyways?

I agree, I don’t like the federal idea, but this is an idea who’s time has come. Unless we plan on changing the complete political landscape and enforcing Interstate Commerce and the 2A, which I don’t see happening for a while, I’m for this.

Have to fight everything one step at a time and we can’t change everything over night.

You are very welcome. My neighbor applied and received the paperwork in about a week. You’ll have to go to your local Sheriff for to be fingerprinted, mail the forms back and wait. Good luck.

That is what make s this type of legislation so dangerous and insidious, it seems like a no brainier... its just "smoothing" out the state laws... by Federal mandate.

But all you have to do is go back and look at every "law or program" the Federal Govenment has brought to the States, they usually become an un-paid mandates or misguided policy that in the end give the Federal Government increased power over over the States Rights... which in the end is increased power over us... "The People".

The Constitution and Bill of Rights gives us all the power we need to carry guns around the country, some states just have to be brought back into line.

Everyone needs to get family/friends involved, join the GOA, NRA and your State/Local Gun Rights Group, if you haven't already. Take the fight to them before they bring it to you.

Sounds like the congressmen are getting a little skittish over Obama’s intentions.

Why not a law stating that it is illegal to prevent a law abiding, sober person from carrying a firearms anywhere they want

We had one. It was called the Second Amendment.

Already practicing what I preach my friend!

I do agree with you, but other than doing what we do, not even any of those “civil rights” groups ultimately enforces the Constitution and BR.

The second ammendment does NOT give us the right to carry a concealed weapon. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Yes it protects our right to own them, but not to conceal them.I’m in Oregon. I can go to a store and purchase a handgun, walout with it in less that 1/2 hour, with ammunition for it, BUT IT MUST BE EITHER IN THE ORIGINAL CASE or clearly visible. Or of course hidden in another compartment aside from the drivers cabin.Take a closer look at what you all are griping about.

Says you? The 2nd amendment says nothing about concealed or not. A pocketknife is concealed but there is no law saying I can or cant carry it around without a permit. The only thing that makes a gun different is good marketing by liberal gun grabbers.
