DC Tea Party: March on the Treasury Building!
New American Tea Party blog ^ | 3-28-09 | New American Tea Party

Hi All,

Eric’s been doing a massive job coordinating national efforts, so be sure to check out his site: http://taxdayteaparty.com. But since this site is dedicated to the DC effort (and helping out however we can with other efforts as well), we’re pleased to tell you we just got the permit to hold our tea party in front of the Treasury, on April 15th, from noon to 2. We’ll even have a stage and a sound system — weather pending. Stay tuned.

Perhaps this would be a good group to interact with.

Some of dcchapter can join with them and maybe some of them would like to join dcchapter.

Congress has gave up its power to the Treasury Department in reference to foreign investments.

The Treasury Department now decides and gives approval to what foreign governments can buy in America.

Now Treasury is trying to grab more power for itself to shut down American businesses.

The Treasury Department is not looking out for the interest of America first.

Just look at the bailout money that they have given to foreign banks.

I’m taking the train. More expensive ($58 round trip), but less hassle.

Dave - Is Kanawha Plaza south of Penny Lane pub? I’ve some people from work also attending, and iceskater thought it’d be a good idea if we all met up before, and I’d suggest, after.

For all of you Richmond folks that want to go to DC by train. It leaves at 8am and gets there at 10:15am. The return trip leaves DC at 3pm and gets to Richmond at 5:09pm, in plenty of time for the Richmond party at 6pm.
