There seems to be a lot of interest in finding a conservative candidate to support in opposition to Charlie Crist’s run for the Florida Senate seat in 2010. Would y’all be interested in inviting some of the candidates that have expressed an interest in running against him in the primary? If so, who would you invite? I think we could fit in a couple of them with each getting 15 - 20 minutes to tell us about themselves and answer questions.

This could be interesting at least we wouldn’t hand pick the questions ahead of time...but I am not sure 15 minutes would be enough for them to be inspired to attend.

Also NO TELEPROMPTERS

Have no idea if he is interested in running for governor, but I would enjoy hearing Congressman Cliff Stearns speak

If this is decided, I would want ONLY candidates we invite to be checked out first for their “conservativeness”. If they have a record to check, that is. I personally do not want to listen to any RINO. I have supported enough of them and sorry I did. Will no more!

I do not know who has stated they are running for Governor. Who is? Guess I have been out of the loop on that. Do know that Marion Thorpe is running for the Martinez Senate seat. Now he would be a good one to invite. That is if everyone is for opening part of the meeting to somewhat of a candidate forum.

***If so, who would you invite?***

What about this previous Fla Sen prez Rubio? Even Dems that I know [if that isn't heresy] said they were impressed with the guy. I think scuttlebutt destines him for Governor, but we can invite him and see what he has to say... someone from Miami know how to contact the fellow?

I think its too early to invite candidates for US Senate. A year from now will be different.

Great question! I can tell you the list is pretty thin at the moment.
