Yep, my own theory is the blow out media coverage of one tends to push a new would-be perpetrator over the edge on the “rationality” of going ahead with it themselves.
I’d like to see what the motive of this one was.

It’s not copycat crime this time. The spike is caused by hopelessness. Obama was supposed to deliver hope: Instead he has delivered despair.
