California consumer affairs chief resigns
Carrie Lopez, director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, resigned Friday in the wake of disclosures about expenses she charged to taxpayers. Carrie Lopez quits when shown results of a state audit that found questionable expenses she incurred. The findings went beyond those reported earlier this month by The Times, an official says.

Reporting from Sacramento -- The director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs resigned Friday in the wake of disclosures about expenses she charged to taxpayers, including for transportation to attend a Justin Timberlake concert with her daughter.
Carrie Lopez stepped down when she was presented with findings of a review undertaken by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's finance office after a Times report March 1 spotlighted travel expenses for her and nine other administration officials.

Lopez, 41, a Democrat who was formerly executive director of the Coro Foundation in Los Angeles, was appointed by Schwarzenegger in April 2007 to head her department, which includes boards and bureaus set up to protect consumers. Her salary is $142,965 a year.

“Public Service/Civil Service” positions have become the biggest while collar crime and scam in the state...
I would love to serve on a board to determine what “State Services” should be OUTSOURCED to private industry....INCLUDING an assessment for ending government controlled PUBLIC SCHOOLS and all Union positions.
Well that explains why she needed to be subsidized to attend a Timberlake conference.

Just another one of Arnold’s Democrat friends. Just look at all of the public agencies that she oversees, and you will realize how bloated the California state government has become. But the A-hole sitting in the governor’s office is so brain dead from all of those years of taking steroids, I am surprised he can even find his way to the bathroom.
