1- Japan wasn’t as dependent on electronics as we are now
2- the bomb wasn’t detonated at a high enough level to cause emp

AND

3 - today’s bombs are as much as 100 times the magnitude of the WWII ones.
4 - today’s chip circuits are 1,000s of times more susceptible then the vacuum tubes of the 1940s and 1950s.

I think a bigger issue would be that after the bomb dropped we did help the Japs back on their feet....I think that if we are seriously bombed, there will be a focus on extermination of US peoples by our enemies.
