“With Obama’s grab for power and the resulting fascist structure of our government, people like Newt, whether they’re running for office or advocating policy, would only add to the problem.”

I suppose this an example:

Newt Gingrich Says Obama and Geithner Engaging in Unprecedented “Power Grab” - Video. ‘Gingrich even uses the term “dictatorial powers” to describe what Obama is seeking:’

That is your opinion only. He worked against large government while Speaker of the House and would do so as President.

I don’t disagree. However I’ve seen Newt handle interviewers (many hostile, a few friendly) and he does so exceptionally well. He can handle Katie Courac and anyone else. Newt also comes to any forum well prepared with arguments and facts. That is important when you are dealing with people on the fence. It is also a way to respond to the inevitable Democratic party attempts to defame the Republican nominee. He is smart and prepared and everyone can see it. He also has good a background in history, which keeps him grounded and secure in his conservatism. (I’ll forgive him for saying he admires Teddy Roosevelt).

I watched some of his television show that the Democrats attacked as partisan. It was not partisan. For every time that he mentioned Lincoln positively, he mentioned FDR positively. That might not be my personal preference, but if that is the kind of diplomacy/tact/politicking that is needed to win the White House, it’s O.K. with me.

Newt is the worst possible spokesman for conservatism. His past political career cannot negate what he does now, like his silly little global warming speeches or his criticism of Rush as he sucks up to whoever.

I know he has a brain, but it’s his heart I’m concerned about. Newt has been infected with the Washington DC virus. It infiltrates the central nervous system and induces its victims to put self interest before everything else—that makes it fatal to conservative principles.
