SEOUL -- Two American journalists detained at North Korea's border with China two weeks ago will be indicted and tried, with "their suspected hostile acts" already confirmed, Pyongyang's state-run news agency said Tuesday.
The Korean Central News Agency report did not say when a trial would take place but that preparations to indict the Americans were under way as the investigation continues.
"The illegal entry of U.S. reporters into [North Korea] and their suspected hostile acts have been confirmed by evidence and their statements," the report said.
The report did not elaborate on what "hostile acts" the journalists are accused of committing.
Euna Lee and Laura Ling, reporters for former Vice President Al Gore's San Francisco-based Current TV media venture, were detained by North Korean border guards March 17.

telling the truth is a hostile act to NK.
They are already guilty, its just a matter of the punishment. death maybe?
I meant “truth” since its Current-TV
Finally, the North Koreans did something to cheer about!
Which one of our spineless diplomats, representatives or President is going to do anything about it?
I guess Obama’s now sending Gore TV reporters to spy on NK. Just checking on the carbon footprint of their new missiles is my guess.
Seriously, pussyfooting with these bastards is going to get someone killed.
LOL. They probably hate America more than the Chia Pet himself.
They're not really Americans, to me, they are there for much the same reasons Hanoi Jane went to N. Vietnam.
This is why God created the 1st Marine Division.
I would have figured that American journalists would be given a welcome invite to a workers’ paradise like N Korea, especially ones associated with the prophet Gore.
Too bad Al wasn’t with them...
SCREW THEM! This of Al Gore’s problem!
Yeah - just like it is to the media in this country. - you have to sift throught so much BS to get one glance at something resembling the truth that you need wings to stay above it.
I doubt that they had any legal reason at all to be there. - and I don't see thousands of their media brothers rushing to denounce NK for this...
But then again, they aren't being held at GITMO.
these ladies were attempting to do an expose on human trafficking- the Chinese forcing desperate N Korean female escapees to pose for porno
IT seems they may have been sold out to the North Koreans by their “Chinese guide” and have now become pawns which Chia pet can use to taunt zerO
If they didn’t appreciate the difference between being “American” vs being “all other”- they do now
I doubt zerO spends his time worrying about these little “gyrations”
I bet they're really hating life right now in the DPRK klink and all that that implies.
From what I read they were not intending to enter North Korea but to find and interview North Korean refugees who had escaped into China.
I believe they got the idea for their story from a Christian organization involved in trying to help North Korean escapees who are brutalized on both sides of the border
Given the nasty business they were attempting to investigate, it seems they may have been set up
The world just seesm to look the other way on the misery and cruelty in this part of the world
Why? You want to send the Marines in to rescue these two stupids?
One Marine getting hurt is not worth these two. They are there of their own making.
Can’t believe the WashTimes reported the NK action as an indictment.
An “indictment” implies the existence of a legal system.
They will have quite a "story" to write when and if they get out. Maybe they can put their ears to the ground and find out finally what the status of Megumi Yokota (kidnapped Japanese girl) was, and if any US defectors who had "accidents" and "died" are actually still alive and up there on the payroll of the Workers Party. They will be housed with other foreigners there, ones against their will, so I am sure they will learn some things during this ordeal.
