I trust democrats (liberal/socialists) to be in solid support of gun-control...

Granted, there are “some” democrats that are staunch supporters of your right to keep and bear arms, but you have to balance that with all the other liberal tendencies they exhibit in their political bag of tricks...

Cases in point (right off the top of my head)

— Zell Miller

— Nick Lampson (Texas) NRA A+ Rated

I’m sure a few more will chime in with a few demos they know that fit this template...

Not that I voted for Nick Lampson this last go around...

Hope the people of Virginia wake to this fool and get him out of office next time around.

Governors can't succeed themselves here - he can serve more than one term, but not consecutively. He wouldn't anyway - he's the new head of the DNC. Like every other double-dipping Dem, he's refusing to resign as Governor so that he can do us the most damage possible in the time remaining to him.

Hopefully this will slap some sense into Virginians and get them to stop electing socialist-lite morons...

I'm afraid the Marylanders who moved to Northern Virginia after wrecking their own state may have doomed us. I'd really like to see the state-franchise restricted to residents who've been here at least five years (ten would be better).

If the country splits, as I see as inevitable (see tagline),

those in the Constitutionalist America will have to make sure that any of those escaping the USSA has a proper worldview.

Seriously, I advocate a very thorough ideological test for any that seek to immigrate, lest they [again] destroy what was fought so hard for.

I'd let them immigrate, but not vote. You have to be an American citizen to vote in federal elections (as well as state) - why shouldn't you have to be a State citizen to be allowed to vote in State elections?

A sitting Virginia Governor may not run for re-election. He's out no matter what he does.

He's also (as many of us knew when he ran for office in the first place) a lying arrogant jackass. These vetoes do not surprise me, any more than any of 0bama's malfeasance surprises me.

That would kinda suck ‘cause then I’d have to wait a long time when I moved back!

Can we caveat it so that you can if you’ve got more than 3 generations there? (I’ve got 7 or 8, back to at least 1720...)

Northern VA is a metastatism site of Californianoma, sort of a nation state version of mesothelioma and melanoma. Nasty stuff, I think at stage III it’s still treatable with regular tar and feather injections but once it reaches stage IV lead therapy is usually the only hope...

You might find him backflushed for a slot as a Senator or COngressman in the future.

Sometimes you have to flush more than once to get liberals out of the system.

WOW!

Head of the DNC and still an elected official. Something doesn;t sound fair there.

They frequently run for Senate, but both Senators are ‘rats so that seems unlikely. He probably wants to be 0bama’s chief buttboy.

They didn’t wake up when he was in the public eye BEFORE getting elected, why now? Warner ( Mark) was shouted to the rooftops as being great! What nonsence...

Not all of us - I’m in NOVA and I ran to the polls to vote AGAINST him.

These bills were a mixed bag to me. I’m glad some of them got vetoed:

Retired LEO concealed carry in restaurants that serve alcohol. Why give special dispensation to this group? Open carry is already legal - why not extend this to all concealed carry permit holders?

Online safety courses. Any firearm safety course that doesn’t include actual discharge of a weapon is just dumb.

Active Duty One-Gun-a-Month. Again, why give special dispensation to a particular group of people? Repeal this law for everyone.

Ahh, yes. City Council was the only elected office Kaine held before being elected Governor. Mayor was an appointed position when Kaine held it. Also, Virginia is unique in that its cities and counties are distinctly separate entities. Only those that live within the boundaries of the City of Richmond get to vote - and if you’ve ever been to Richmond it won’t surprise you that it votes overwhelmingly Democrat.

No. He was Lt. Governor first.
