Hey, did you hear about the Obama nominee who paid their taxes? Neither have we. But we accept tips.
Kathy Sebelius, President Obamas pick to head up the massive Health and Human Services department, is the latest Obama Cabinet nominee to have tax issues.
Broken record?
In a letter to the Senate Finance Committee yesterday, the Kansas governor said she paid a total of $7,040 in back taxes and $878 in interest because of unintentional errors.
In preparation for my confirmation process as the nominee for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, my husband and I hired a Certified Public Accountant to conduct a thorough review of our tax returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007. That evaluation revealed unintentional errors, which we immediately corrected by filing amended returns, she wrote.

Kathy GILLIGAN, as she’s known here in the Cincinnati area, has one helluva a reputation from her wild child days here. Complete airhead, and quite the bimbo ‘back in the day’.
Its not surprising she thought she was above paying taxes, folks. Her father personafied that type of arrogance.
...the press and the libs depend upon our complacency. Did they ever let up on Bush? No, and we shouldn’t either. It’s outrageous that so many Democratic officials willfully evade taxes while preaching to us about our patriotic duty to pay them. It is doubly and triply outrageous when it’s a sitting Governor who is filling a nomination spot left open by the last tax-evading Democrat. She must not be confirmed.
but, but taxes are for the peasants to pay...
Do tell. Did Miss Gilligan have a whole lot of stranded sailors washing up on her island?
Dear President Obama,
Thank you for helping my neighbors with their mortgage payments, the neighbors down the street who in the good times purchased their house for no money down, refinanced it several times, then bought SUV’s, ATV’s, RV’s, a pool, a big screen plasma TV, two Wave Runners, a boat, and a Harley.
I was wondering, since I am paying my mortgage and theirs, could you arrange for me to borrow the Harley now and then?
Signed: “Concerned in USA “
P. S. They also need help with their credit cards, so when do you want me to start making those payments?
P. P. S. I almost forgot - they didn’t file their income tax return this year. Should I go ahead and file for them, or will you be appointing them to cabinet posts?
Within the past hour, I filed my Federal, State and Local income taxes. Combined with what I paid in Social Security, Medicare and State Sales tax, it would support a family of four quite comfortably at middle class levels. Why do I have to pay, when they don’t?
So they didn’t hire a CPA to prepare the original returns? Or did they hire a really dumb CPA? Or did they just lie to their original CPA?
April 15th everone don’t forget to check the “Geitner”..box on your Tax Forms!!
You have know idea just how close to the truth your off hand comment actually is.
Thats all I’ll say about this bimbo publicly.
This morning on “Morning Joe” Mika read the NYT article, waved it in front of the panel (Mike Barnacle, Pat Buchanan and Harold Ford) and said, “Anybody care? Anybody care? Anybody care? No.” And that was that.
Article doesn’t mention that her husband is a federal magistrate judge. Or that she threatened to hold onto state income tax refunds if the legislature didn’t overspend. Or that her major appointments have been preceeded by big campaign contributions. Or that she had a party for the staff of the Tiller abortion mill and paid for it out of taxpayer funds.
Or that she proposed taxing farm wheat trucks as though they were 18-wheelers. Or...on and on.

Amazing.
Dear President Obama:
Congratulations on becoming the 45th President of the United States of America. I look forward to your successful reign...er tenure...as President.
I have submitted my application for a position in your cabinet. I have extensive experience in business...mainly distilled spirits sales, pharmaceuticals, entertainment complex management, and specialized intimate entertainment.
Also, I have failed to pay taxes for many years...which was even recognized by the United States Government....who in recognition awarded me a position in the Bureau of Federal Prisons.
I eagerly await your reply.
Sincerely,
Al Capone
