Census Bureau: We’ll Work with ‘Community Organizations’ to Count All Illegal Aliens in 2010 Thursday, April 02, 2009 By Nicholas Ballasy, Video Reporter

(CNSNews.com) - The acting director of the U.S. Census Bureau, Thomas Mesenbourg, told CNSNews.com that the bureau intends to work with community organizations to make sure every illegal alien in the United States is counted in the 2010 Census.

The Census is used to apportion the seats in the U.S. House of Representative. There are 435 House seats that are divided among the states in proportion to their population, which is determined by the decennial census. States with more people get more seats in the U.S. House.

This means that a state harboring more illegal aliens can gain more House seats as long as the Census Bureau finds the illegal aliens and counts them. This also means that the illegal alien population resident in the United States during a census year has the potential to alter the regional and philosophical balance of power in Congress.

Mesenbourg’s comments were made after a press conference on Wednesday where Commerce Secretary Gary Locke joined several interest groups, including Univision, the National Council of La Raza, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) to talk about efforts to ensure a full count of Latinos in the 2010 Census.

When asked whether he intended to maximize the count of illegal aliens in next year’s census, Mesenburg said: “Our job is to count everyone that resides in the U.S.--count them once. So, certainly that’s our goal to count every individual, every resident whether they’re documented, undocumented, whether they are citizens or non-citizens.”

How bold do you have to be to admit this? I wonder if this is taken out of context or something. Oh trust me I know it happened in past census’, but normally it is done sneakily. Now they just out and out say they are going to do this. It does not pass the smell test.

Non-citizens aren't supposed to be counted by the census or represented in Congress.

Of course, this is the Democrats, the party whose antecedents saw to it that 3/5 of all slaves were counted to increase their masters' clout in Congress. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Maybe it’s time to secede from the Union. This move simply decreases the represenative power of citizens.

So we'll know how many bus tickets we'll need to send them home?

The blood of patriots and tyrants, that is all that will save this nation at this point.

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed.
The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive.
If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...

And what country can preserve its liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance?

Let them take arms.
The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them.
What signify a few lives lost in a century or two?

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

I truly didn’t understand how the census could be used to apportion votes in this manner, based on illegal aliens, until I went to the Census Bureau site and saw this: “The fundamental reason for conducting the decennial census of the United States is to apportion the members of the House of Representatives among the 50 states. A state’s resident population consists of those persons ‘usually resident’ in that state (where they live and sleep most of the time). A state’s apportionment population is the sum of its resident population and a count of overseas U.S. military and federal civilian employees (and their dependents living with them) allocated to the state, as reported by the employing federal agencies.”

This is really frightening. I consider myself up on politics (and many other subjects), but I really had no idea that illegal aliens could dilute my vote in this manner.

This is just disgusting. There are just too many people with no skin in the game, and I can understand all of the recent calls to base voting rights on something like property ownership, income, or something tangible. That’s why the founding fathers required property ownership—they understood that giving the vote to those with nothing at stake would result in perverse outcomes.

That will turn the house forever dhimmicrat, and I predict that, within 10 years or so, you may begin to see calls to get rid of the Senate (which will be seen as impeding “progress,”) or to make it more ceremonial, since it may not be dhimmicrat enough to muster 60 votes for cloture. I’m truly afraid for this country.

Does anyone know the history (I assume SCOTUS) behind apportioning Congressional Districts using alien counts in the formula?

this census is doomed to be the most political, most inaccurate census in the history of the nation.

I don’t think they will be included in the state population for the purpose of defining political boundaries.

I think this is a good thing. Maybe when people realize how many illegals are in this country, they will get off their as* and do something about it. Right now, they can say, well there aren’t that many, and it doesn’t affect me.

Oh, but you know how the left thinks,

that these people deserve to be here just as much as you or I do, that it was just a geographical accident that we’re born here, and we need to equalize that accident of circumstances pro-actively, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah, that is very true. However, most only say that when talking about the people that mow their yards, or clean their houses. People they know personally.

When the census reports that there are 25 million or more, especially when our economy is crashing, at least a few of them may reconsider their previous ideas. Even if half of the 25 million work, that is 12,500,000 jobs, which would be pretty helpful in this economy.

This means that a state harboring more illegal aliens can gain more House seats

Shouldn't they only count for 3/5th of a vote?

This is just getting more and more scary. When will we wake up?

I have an idea. If the government will not stop illegal immigration, and they will count illegals and give representatives based on how many you have, all red states should invite unlimited immigration from Australia, Western Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and anywhere else where there are educated people who are productive. They want to bring in 20 million Mexicans; fine, we'll get 20 million Poles, Lithuanians, British expats, Aussies, frustrated Italians, and so on. If we need cheap labor, we bring in Filipinos and Indians.

These groups will work 20 hours a day, start businesses, employ people, teach their children independence and family values, and will tend to vote conservative. They can pull up to ports in Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina in huge ocean liners, they can cross to Arizona from Mexico and spread into Nevada, Idaho and Utah, they can come from Canada into Wyoming and North Dakota. We can create whole factories for them, just like there are animal processing plants throughout Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri filled with illegals who are never bothered by ICE, we can build semiconductor plants in Montana for these people to work at.

Enough is enough.

I just sent faxes to both of my Senators on this issue.

To the male Senator, I closed my letter with the question,
