No, what's really at work here is you don't want to look at yourself in the mirror because you're afraid of what it will tell you is true.

McCain/Palin was such a winner for us.

Hunter was such a winner. Thompson was such a winner.

Jindal is our savior, except for a couple of months this past spring a good portion of FR was throwing him under the bus.

What is really at work here is that a good number of us at FR no longer have any desire to put up with blind haters and bashers.

Offer ideas and philosophy and a candidate who can articulate them — you’ll find that’s a LOT harder than just running around squealing like a stuck pig about how bad everybody else is.
