You're not being honest here. He IS corrupt. He WAS given a bunch of free stuff in exchange for legislative favors.

Is ONLY 80k some kind of cut-off?

Not really. He isn't responsible for the misconduct and it's not as if this demonstrates Stephens isn't corrupt.

If anyone is guilty here, it's the BUSH Justice department.

Stevens is squeaky clean compared to RAT senators like Reid and Dodd.

Sorry, but this is the first time I disagree with Sarah. She is dead wrong on this one.

Your boy Ted is no better than Murtha.

Actually he's no better or worse than just about anyone else in congress.

Now there is a fantastic idea, although I would probably limit it to about 80.

"The son of Ted Stevens, Ben was a paid consultant for oil field services company Veco Corp. at the same time he was a legislator. Records show Veco paid him $252,000 from 2001 through 2005. He hasn't been charged in the corruption investigation."

Ted did what he did with the help of a GOP Congress and Bush signed it.

What people need to realize is that Federal prosecutors are some of the biggest criminals around. One has to experience their outrageous behavior in order to realize just how corrupt the Federal prosecution system has become.

I disagree that Ted was thrown under the bus. I mean, he was a sitting US Senator CONVICTED of 7 felonies. I don’t even think Blago will be facing that many charges. No one could have predicted the extent of DOJ’s malfeasance.

*****************
The whole Federal system is corrupted. They all swim in the same polluited water. The leader who campaigns on the 10th amendment movement can amass a majority.

It’s not just federal prosecutors and judges either.

What a polite and reasoned retort. I am glad that you are maintaining the Freeper standard of decency and not engaging in ad hominem attacks.
