It's not as if this proves Stephens was innocent.

Creating evidence, withholding evidence, false testimony, disappearing witnesses that favored defense, bribed FBI agents... and more.

What more do you need to demonstrate innocence?

As to Palin, good for her. I just wish she and McCain hadn't thrown him under the bus by demanding his resignation in the middle of the reelection campaign. He only lost by 1% of the vote -- there never needed to be a Sen. Begich.

True. She and McCain were responsible for his loss and now she wants to erase it all with a do over?

You're not being honest here. He IS corrupt. He WAS given a bunch of free stuff in exchange for legislative favors.

Is ONLY 80k some kind of cut-off?

What people need to realize is that Federal prosecutors are some of the biggest criminals around. One has to experience their outrageous behavior in order to realize just how corrupt the Federal prosecution system has become.

I disagree that Ted was thrown under the bus. I mean, he was a sitting US Senator CONVICTED of 7 felonies. I don’t even think Blago will be facing that many charges. No one could have predicted the extent of DOJ’s malfeasance.

It's not a question of demonstrating innocence, it's a question of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Much of the federal government's evidence wasn't legally "kosher", so there went the proof. Thus, "Uncle Ted" is "innocent" because he shouldn't be proven guilty with much of what the feds went to court with.
