Oh yeah, nature themes, but the Storm really was for the X-m+Men character. I’m a comic book/sci fi nerd.

‘“Battlefield Earth”’

Good one.

The movie sucked.

The book is awesome.

interestingly, I watched Taken on big screen a couple of months before it was shown in the US. Surprisingly, it was shown Stateside later than it had been shown overseas. Goes to show that a good movie will sell.

If this Wolvie movie is good, they will make their money. If it sucks ....well ....Catwoman for ya?

Yes, in France and most major cities in Western Europe, in major cities of Africa (Nairobi Kenya, Joburg/CTown/Durban in SA, and Lagos Nigeria), and I believe in Australia ....before it was released in the US. I remember getting quite surprised when some FReepers started writing reviews of the movie months after I’d watched it ...at first I thought it was a different movie.

I find it funny that TAKEN is now making more money on a daily basis than the overhyped Watchmen.

Reason is simple. Watchment is a movie based on a graphic novel that, while really good (the graphic novel) is simply not the type of material one can make a movie from. To be honest, the fact that it did not suck more is a major interesting point.

Taken, on the other hand, is an EXTREMELY GREAT MOVIE. It does not try to be PC, it is gritty, and it is something that can actually happen in real life (as in, the kidnapping part ....the whole rescue part of it is firmly in Hollywood land, since if it was your kid who was taken the chances of getting him or her back would quickly go to nil in a matter of hours).

A great film will ALWAYS win. Taken is a great film.

Meh. It looks to me like the 47,323rd paint-by-numbers action flick.
