This sucks! Plante was great! Scarborough is a RINO on his BEST day.
Color me unimpressed.
What a bummer! I wonder what this is all about...I listen to Chris on WMAL through the internet...was the only reason I listend to that radio station...too bad...where can I find him elsewhere?
WMAL, I guess this is “fair”.
I wish Fred would come back home to Iowa and give running for Governor another shot.
Why
Very bad move. I have little tolerance for the RINO Grandy. They have lost a listener until Rush comes on. Give me more LEVIN! He is the best.
They could dump Sliwa in the late evening slot, it wouldn’t bother me none.
What a disaster. This is terrible. I loved Michael Graham and they cancelled him in that time slot; I liked Chris Core despite his wishy-washiness; I loved Chris Plante. And I do not really see how Grandy and Andy can keep it up without becoming exhausted, particularly considering Grandy’s delicate health. I am very fond of both of them but they’re going to burn out.
Program managers generally are idiots.
First Michael Graham, now Chris Plante. I’ve been a WMAL listener since the days of Harden and Weaver in the morning. I got your Joe Scarborough right here. I can tune to Baltimore stations to get Rush and Sean. Buh bye WMAL.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
My email to WMAL with response following:
To: Paul Duckworth
Subject: Chris Plante replacements big big mistake
I have been listening to WMAL since 1960, 49 pleasant long years of radio. You have obviously decided to make WMAL more balanced to the center left with this decision. At this time of political turmoil and the need for more thoughtful and intelligent debate initiated from someone as gifted as Chris, you are making an enormous mistake by replacing Chris Plante with Joe Scarborough and Mika, two darlings which the mainstream media counts as being in their corner. While I like Grandy and Andy, 5 hours is too much. You will see the error of your ways in time.
WMAL response:
Thanks for your email. I, too, am truly saddened to see Chris go. He’s a great broadcaster and friend. As you may know, The Joe Scarborough Show is owned and distributed by Citadel Media/Broadcasting - the company that owns WMAL. This move was part of the company’s strategy to get their programming on their stations - something that’s not uncommon in the industry. Translation: it was not a local decision.
Thanks again for your feedback.
Best regards,

Now can Chris go to work for MSNBC to provide them with balance?
What a Crock. Chris Plante was the best talent WMAL has had in years. The Left wins again. It is time to burn a few cars and break a few windows.
