WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama increased pressure on North Korea to halt moves toward a weekend test of a long-range ballistic missile, warning Pyongyang on Friday that a launch would be "provocative" and wouldn't go unpunished.
U.S. defense officials said, however, there were no signs North Korea was curtailing its test and was instead making final preparations for the rocket shot, which could come as early as Saturday -- despite intensified diplomacy and increasingly strong objections from Mr. Obama and the U.S.'s Asian allies.
Speaking at a joint news conference with French President Nicolas Sarkozy ahead of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Strasbourg, France, Mr. Obama said North Korea has become only more belligerent in the face of calls to cancel the missile launch.
"Should North Korea decide to take this action, we will work ... to take appropriate steps to let North Korea know that it can't threaten the safety and security of other countries with impunity," Mr. Obama said.

But make no mistake. Obama is a tyrant. And he uses the word punish, which no president uses without action. In this case there is empty threat, until Zero is backed into a corner and we will be at war. Bad news.
He should be pursuing a pre-emptive policy real prevention.

After the launch, Obama will say:
“Bad, bad, BAD North Korea......tsk, tsk....we told you not to do it, but you did it anyway.”
Kim Jong-Il and the rest of the North Korean leadership will be laughing so loudly, that it will be heard around the world. Oh, wait.....

And no one sees what is coming next? NK will halt the launch, the MSM will hail Obama as a hero to the world.
Meanwhile he will give 100 billion in US tax dollars to NK under the table.
Good thing he made that pledge to slow development of future combat systems, and then negotiate non-deployment of nuclear shielding to eastern Europe, right?
I’m thinking that in view of this intransigence, maybe Kim hasn’t heard Obama SPEAK, or...maybe he doesn’t realize that Obama is BLACK..?
Cuz..that’d take care of everything, right?
