This charge was bogus. The charge was not discarded for a technicality. The whole process stunk. I do not know about other ethics issues. I have not been a fan of Stevens for his pork spending. Even though this charge was bogus, Stevens should have dropped out of the primary. He knew this charge would hurt his chances for election. At his age, he should have bowed to the greater good to keep the rats from taking the seat.
