She also wears shoes that don’t fit right. That sweater was tacky. Most of her clothes are strange and now anyone can compare her fashion sense to Jackie Kennedy is beyond me. There is NO comparison. I cannot believe how large of woman she is when they took the pictures from the backside. She needs clothes that flatter her not make her stand out as huge. Pretty bad when you cannot button a sweater.

I’ll be more impressed when they elect THEIR first African prime minister, etc., than I am with them melting. They’ve been melting for a long time, it seems to me.

That’s brilliant.
They need to first get rid of America, the ideal, the exception. THEN, there will be no invidious comparisons. Everyone will be the same.............enslaved.
I think I just got all the tenses wrong, above.

Actually, that is one the times she is dressed correctly for her body and the occasion. It's a cute suit. And someone showed her how to stand!!!!!!

See post #79 The stitching in the jacket looks as if the tailor left his/her marks and the pants are anything but flattering imo.

Yeah, I trust the stories. So many do not even know what Yalta was. The progressive people around the world are thrilled with this turn of history. For them, it is not a failure.
If we are in the post-national era, then it makes sense for France to repudiate Gaullism. France was a NATO participant, but not in the military aspect. I would assume they are positioning themselves to take command of NATO.

It all beats most of what she usually wears, IMO.
Accent stitching doesn’t offend me. It draws attention to her face. The pants are relaxed enough to fit over her hips and fall gracefully. The short jacket draws the eye upward, away from the hips. She’s standing in approximately 3rd position, which is good. Eventually, she will learn to also turn her hips sideways to the camera.
I think someone on her staff is reading these threads!

These goobers that wrote this apparently have very low expectations for Michelle Obama, because I dont see anything that she accomplished yet. I mean, she wore some designer clothes.... and it gets mentioned about 4 times in the article.... Palin got ripped for it.Telling, isn't it? Palin gets excoriated for wearing designer clothes. Giving them up didn't help her with the press, either. Michelle...All the designer labels in the world can't can't help a pinched face or deciding to stand at ease like a man. Yet the press would have you believe she has all the grace and poise of a Jacky-O or Audrey Hepburn.
But the real truth has nothing to do with fashion and everything to do with politics: the press are simply shameless shills for the Obamas.

There’s just no comparison: one has obviously been trained and prepared for such roles for her entire adult life. The other has just entered the program.

...........I asked people there - explained that our media in the US tells us how much Europeans like the Obamas - is that true? Everyone said, no, they see them as just very liberal politicians. Maybe the European media adores them too, but the regular people see through the charade and are very worried.................. Thank you for the post and your insight. Getting really tired of the adoration of the press for everything obama.
