Prague - U.S. President Barack Obama, who attended the EU-U.S. summit in Prague today, gave a bust of a former U.S. president to his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus, and he received a book on Prague Castle, the presidential seat, from Klaus.
The Presidential Office did not specify which president the bust depicted.
The Czech and U.S. first ladies also brought presents to one another.
Livia Klausova gave traditional Czech glass to Michelle Obama, and she got "a beautiful little American vase" that she will display in the Lany chateau, the presidential summer residence, Klausova said.
Moreover, the Obamas received presents from Czech PM Mirek Topolanek who chaired the summit this afternoon.
A Czech-made Prim watch will now remind Obama of his public address in Prague, and Michelle Obama can decorate her outfits with a brooch with Czech garnets from Prague.
Obama and his wife Michelle arrived in Prague from the NATO summit in Strasbourg on Saturday evening, a couple hours later than expected. This is why they did not take a stroll in Prague streets and probably did not dine in a selected restaurant in the historical centre.
The highlight of Obama's stay was his speech outside Prague Castle this morning, in which he called for the world without nuclear weapons.
While Obama became the main star at the EU-U.S. summit, his wife visited historical sights at Prague Castle and in the Jewish Town today.
My money is on Stalin
Lemme guess: Jimmuh Carter.
Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas in Europe! Santa has arrived!
Was it a beautiful little Jimmy Carter Chia head?
They are so secretive.
I imagine it was a bust of Obama.
Odd that the Czech President’s office wouldn’t report the name. Is it possible that they don’t know who it is?
Whose bust did they grab on the way out? President Reagan's?
"a beautiful little American vase"
LMAO!!!! They put the word "Little" in there. Wonder if it came from the Dollar Store?
Are we sure it was a former president? It would be just like Zero to give away a bust of himself.
It was probably an Obama Chia plant. They are very rare now, so I'm sure that was appreciated.

___________
The single reason he was set up to be president. This is his goal. He will not achieve it. There will be a revolution before he is allowed to make us become that vulnerable.
No iPods loaded with MP3’s stolen over the internet?
It was probably an Obama Chia plant.
That’s just what I was thinking.
“his speech outside Prague Castle this morning, in which he called for the world without nuclear weapons”
So nobody every killed anyone in war before nuclear weapons?
(Meaning, that the weapons are a THING; maybe it’s the type of people who use them that have to be controlled?)
Exactly. The idiOt thinks he can just place all our nuclear arsenal under lock and key. This is where reality sets in when our military simply says “wake up from your liberal utopia”. Gates must have lots of patience explaining to the so-called community organizer how the real world actually works.
“It would be just like Zero to give away a bust of himself.”
LBJ actually once gave Pope Paul VI a small bust of himself as a gift (but that was LBJ...)
Mmm....maybe it is a bust of President Pelosi.
nah, the Goodwill store!
