Too true. Walk into any law library and pull a volume of criminal case law off the shelf, any year will do. You won't have to flip many pages to find a similar scenario. The children, though, are not usually targets. Unfaithful spouses, their extramarital lovers (or both) are the usual victims. Note also that this applies to jealous wives as well, though those cases are not as numerous.
Sometimes a divorce attorney gets caught in the crossfire (pun intended) and perishes as well. There is no way I'd ever be an attorney who specializes in divorce cases. WAY too dangerous.
