4. I think they have passed the point of free speech. It’s getting dangerous.

The only good I can possibly see coming from extending “free speech” rights to protect the hate speech from these maniacs would be if they actually take arms, rise up, and then get wiped out by hellfire missiles launched from predator drones, like any other self-respecting terrorist would do.

I voted DemocRat because I think free speech should be protected, unless it comes from one of those racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted, Fundamentalist, knuckle-dragging Neanderthal ChimpyBushitler-loving assault-rifle-toting wingnuts who are just so full of hatred!

“from extending “free speech” rights to protect the hate speech”

We see at work here one of the very logical results of “hate crime” legislation.

It opened up, and approves, the idea that your thoughts alone (hate) can be seen as a particular crime.

Having sanctioned the idea of the thought crime, in hate crime legislation, it was only time before those who have been indoctrinated to not see the fallacy of the idea would think it only natural and “right” to extend the idea - a crime - to speech.
