—The only way to make this work would be to incorporate them into a single amendment.—

Or one amendment would only be ratified if the other one was—one goes down, both fail.

—Why would they give up something they want, to get something they already have?—

Insurance. In case Zero tanks so badly the GOP is back in the driver’s seat for a while, and pro-life federal judges star gettting appointed again.

And not one of them “legalized” gay marriage by the vote... Nope, some gay judge decided the “vote” didn't matter.

I didn't check - if it's the vote of the legislature - it's real. . Still, the people have never voted for it...

“Even during the 50s [abortion] was somewhere in the six-figures”

My husband told me that in the 30s, a reservoir near Peoria, IL was drained and they found more than a dozen infant bodies. Desperate people will always do someting desperate if they are desperate enough. With the bad economy, who knows what aweful things are happening.

“Young people will say, then what’s the point of marriage.”

They will do what they are already doing. They will live together until they decide to buy a house, have a baby, or make some other major commitment. Then they will marry because of the legal implications. This is one of the reasons that gays want to get married. Also for older and sick gays there is the issue of hospital visitation and inheritance.

“They moved out when the barbarian hordes from Massachusetts overran the state.”

You mean the barbarian hordes from New York.

That's what happened in Connecticut a few months ago. Some activist judge (don't know if he's gay or not) decided it was time for CT to "get with the times" and allow gay marriage, basically because "there's greater acceptance of gay marriage" (says who???). We never had a chance vote on it.

I know CT is a Blue State, but I'm not certain that gay marriage would have passed if the people had a chance to vote on it...

Keep it up, the moral fiber of America MUST be destroyed. Get rid of all religion. Get it all done before the final act. Then grab the guns, welcome to Cuba and Venezuala folks and they did it without a fight. Brilliant on their part. The nation of sheep cooperated so nicely. Coup will be complete.

That’s why there are wills (which anyone, gay or straight, should have) and durable powers of attorney.

Either way. ;-) Some of my Mom’s side of the family settled in the state when they came over from Poland, but that was years ago, and I don’t think many, if any one, is still there.

And I guarantee that kids in Jr High and younger who have this stuff pushed at them daily....as “love” and marriage, HAVE NOT A CLUE, what it takes to commit a homosexual act.

If they are told the truth, they will naturally be repelled.

We raised our kids as sheltered as one can at this time. We never talked about homosexuals or anything like that. When he was in 5th grade our oldest went on a class trip to go whale watching off Cape Cod. On the day before they were to go out they had a cook out on the beach where he saw two homosexual men walking hand in hand and kissing. He said that he was so grossed out he couldn't eat. This may be the only meal he has missed in 19 years. LOL

I await the volcanoes, the tsunamis, the hurricanes and hopefully, the destruction of Vt and its pacifist secular socialism by the Lord. I actually do want it to happen with good Americans being protected as we see in the OT, when God protects believers that do good and trust the Lord. Since VT doesn’t seem to believe in the Biblical God or His standards, perhaps a nice lesson in humility would be a nice taste of God’s wrath. Oh I know, that is sooooo cruel.

Homosexuals like to target beautiful areas and states to infect them with their agenda to force the abhorrent lifestyle upon the unsuspecting, though often liberal-tending, population.

It is going on all over the country. Right here in Arkansas, one of the most beautiful vacation get-away towns of Eureka Springs has been overrun by homosexuals who have taken over the government and now are issuing “marriage licenses” to homo couples. I have sworn off going there and supporting the town since that move. I really miss it, as they have a wonderful production of the Passion Play...

Now it is time for the animal-lovers to file a lawsuit to get recognition of marriage between humans and animals. Equal protection and all...

Believe it or not but on a couple of homo sites they actually tell homo’s where to move and whom to vote for so the agenda can be pushed.

Imagine that.

Same-sex “marriage” is far more corrosive to the cohesivenss of the family structure than anything else imaginable.

I've never understood this. The cohesiveness and structure of my family is only threatened by my own inability to maintain them.

Do you really think this is a logical argument? This kind of nonsense doesn't help. It's a big reason why Santorum got booted out of Pa. a few years ago.

we’re in North east FL a conservative area and I got my wife out of MA as she was from there. We helped to stop liberals pushing their agenda here and we helped to stop homo’s from getting married

I only wish that every conservative not republican move out of the north east and get south, or midwest.

we then can make our stand against them.
