America peaked in the 1950’s.
It’s been all downhill ever since with a few positive upticks.

The 1950’s represents adult Americans who grew up during the Depression, fought in WWII and then returned home to rebuild the United States. It was the time when one knew their neighbor, worshiped God, loved their country and slept with their doors and windows unlocked. The iconic Norman Rockwell America.
The problem with “I told you so”... Is the millions that will die to teach that lesson.... I think radical Islam spoke loud and clear on 9/11/01 but many like Obama do not see it like this and try to minimalize the impact of 911. My question to the idiot appeasers is how many more have to die to teach you that there is no negotiating with these terrorists? 19 middle aged middle class muslim men turned aircraft into suicide weapons of mass destruction purposley killing themselves in order to inflict as much damage on this country as they could. Even the most radical Americans would never strap bombs on themselves and go into a mosque in Saudi Arabia to kill as many arabs as they could.
It’s sad when the “I told you so” has to follow millions of innocent deaths but that’s how it’s got to go for at least the next 4 years.

These countries/governements are no more than schoolyard bullies. Yes, thats a simplistic view, but the only way to talk with the schoolyard bully is to punch him in the mouth.

To use that analogy a bigger kid who just walks up to a bully and punches him won’t have nearly the deterrent effect of talking to him telling him that you will be watching him and that if picks on another little kid you’ll hit him. And then hitting him.
How long have we tried that approach though? The punch in the mouth seemed to do well for Reagan as far as the middle east was concerned. He hit the leaders personally when need arose. Besides, Obama doesn’t have the testicular fortitude do as you propose. He wouldn’t be popular in Europe anymore.

Oh, I dread some of the possibilities - of what we might give away.
But frankly we’ve had two 2 term presidents in a row who could seem to talk but not give away. I guess its asking for a lot.
