Are you ready for 2nd Declaration of Independence?
World Net Daily dot Com ^ | April 8, 2009 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 04/08/2009 7:23:34 PM PDT by JSDude1

WASHINGTON – When Barack Obama called for "all nations" in the world to "come together to build a stronger, global regime" to respond to threats like those posed by North Korea's nuclear weapons and long-range missiles, WND's Editor and CEO Joseph Farah had heard enough.

Farah was stunned once again that no major news agencies in the world even deemed to question the administration about what he meant.

It sounded to Farah like Obama was, once again, raising the specter of some form of global governance unaccountable to the American people – a direct threat to U.S. sovereignty and independence.

That's when he decided it was time to raise the consciousness of the American people and members of Congress to those threats through a national petition campaign.

"Are you ready for a second Declaration of Independence?" he asks. "It shouldn't be

Count me in. I’m ready to meet at the Lexington Commons. I’ve lived a great life as an American. I was born in poverty and escaped from it. When I was young I wore a soldier’s uniform and fought for my country and gladly risked all of my tomorrows for the country and people that I loved. Now that I have a whole lot older and have a whole lot fewer tomorrows I would again gladly risk and lose them all to give my children and grand children what I had.

Not time to re invent the wheel. We have the documents the Founders provided us. It is our responsibility to them to place honor to them.

It is time to look back to what they fought and risked their lives to do. Some have turned their backs upon these documents in an effort to remove them from our History. It is a terrible act of disrespect to blindly ignore the guide they provided to accommodate a current and temporary inconvenience....

I feel like we have not had real freedom in this country for some time now. I know it is gonna get worse with the current administration and congress let alone sovereignty issues. I think the current Declaration of Independence and Constitution are just fine the way they are written. We just need to follow them.

What is happening today is not merely “Disrespect” as you call it. It is Treason or, at the minimum, criminality that deserves severe punishment. Of course our Legal System has been so undermined that it actually supports what has been going on for the past 30 years. I mean, it took over four months to get Maddoff behind bard for crying out loud - And he admitted his crimes upfront.

At the same time a bad look at an Airport Security Screener might get you the slammer in an instant!

Thats their way (whomever “they” may be) to keep the general public in servitude and submission for fear of punishment.

Agree. And the Tax Code is another of their manipulative, coercive tools. Let's face it, Gov’t has gotten way too big. I ask anyone to name a significant part of their lives that is not intruded into by Gov’t in one form or another.

Hell, they have us all doing back-flips to get back money that we've already paid in taxes or for which they are borrowing on our behalf to fund their agendas.

People need to start thinking very long and hard about what is really going on in the name of fighting a ‘National Emergency’.

Subject: Prediction from 1944 Norman Mattoon Thomas (November 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.

The Socialist Party candidate for President of the U.S. , Norman Thomas, said this in a 1944 speech: The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform."

"...fight for our Faith, Family and Freedom"

I'm sure some will point to that as an unpatriotic priority listing. I am patriotic to the extent that the country serves as a vehicle to support your three priorities. I am sure that there are millions of patriots like me.

We have not. When the government lives under the fear of the people, like it used to, then we will have the freedom the founders wrote about. Right now they keep passing so many laws and finding ways to make law-abiding people ‘criminals’ - they use the law as a means to an end to push down and crucify citizens and keep us in line or we’ll end up losing our rights, disarmed and un-organized.

It is malicious and evil to make laws to turn good citizens into criminals so that the government has a pretext to come in and arrest and seize their property.

It is legal persecution with the force of government behind it. And it needs to end.

I know God will eventually come back and fix all this. I really will hate to be these people on the day they have to answer to Him for what they have done, calling good evil, and evil, good. All to build up their own fortunes, reputations and feel like they are important. It will all be for nothing.

Now, Obama is getting into the area of “crimes and misdemeanors”, if not treason. Getting very close the “I” word range here. We must get a majority in congress and get ready for action to impeach. And somehow, God help us, we must get access to his citizenship documents.

Correct. It's up to us to determine where the damage has been done since 1791 (formation of the Union) and repair same. One big area to revisit is the Civil War and the novelties it introduced, viz., a national (the Framers never said "national" but always "federal" when referring to the federal gov't.) regime, run by national political machines, the permanent federalization and nationalization of the Militia, the abuses of the Commerce Clause, and so on.

Don't secede .... that's the losers' play. Evict!

Time to evict the Yankee States with their pullulating masses of Marxist-indoctrinated lemmings. All six New England States, plus the chunk of New York below the Croton Reservoir on the east bank of the Hudson. (That would include Chappaqua and its unlovely First Residents, but leave us the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island -- and West Point. They get Riker's, and that's fair!)

Let them go form the socialist Utopia they repine for -- on their own damn nickel.

Much damage has been done. It is not without repair provided the course is altered. Time is of the essence but not all together gone at this point.

The direction the current administration is taking is not unlike the awakening the Sons of Liberty had as they began to mobilize and unify against the King of England. I am inspired by the grassroots level of organization currently underway via the TeaParty effort. The key now it to revitalize the US Constitution. If our representatives do not embrace the Constitution they should be voted out. It will not happen in one or two or even more election cycles, but it must start....
