What a great picture.
Compare with the 'fist bump'.
Somethin' about those eyes just gives me the willies.

Yep Star, she sure is missed. I have a feeling that she will be more and more appreciated as time goes by.

Somethin' about those eyes just gives me the willies. You and me both! It's like their own little code look for 'we fooled em, and we got here, and we're gonna do things OUR way!'

I don't think people realized who we had in Laura Bush until we got the nut who is the present 1st ????. I really miss her. She always knew what to wear and it wasn't the bedspread or her daughters’ sweaters. Who will ever forget that red and black number?

Laura Bush: A First Lady who made America proud Somebody remind me of what she did. Eight years and I can't think of a thing. Did she have a *cause*?

Did she have a cause?
Yes, she did. She was a school teacher and went all across the country encourageing children to read. She and Jenna wrote a childrens book as well.
The Press did little to campaign for our dear first ladies cause. She was gracious and lovely as well. I miss her.

She [ ] went all across the country encouraging children to read. Too bad she didn't do anything to advance the cause of Conservatism.

For some folks around here, literacy is quite obviously at the bottom of the list, DrDeb. ;)
Great First Lady - classiest EVER. Laura worked hard for the freedom of women in Afghanistan (and their literacy), worked with the Millenium Challenge in Africa, and worked for freedom in Burma.
She did more for the cause of freedom than any First Lady has ever done.
And for me, freedom is one of the fundamental conservative principles.
But obviously some around here disagree with the whole fight-for-freedom thing, eh?
Sad.

Classiest First Lady ever.
(btw, the hyperbole doesn't earn you debate points. It diminishes them).

Best first Lady ever. Still proud.
You have to read Laura’s book, here’s a few samples :
Chapter 7 : Immigration reform : Because we all were illegal immigrants once
Chapter 8 : Compassionate conservatism, because conservatives are not compassionate like me
Chapter 9 : Same-sex marriage, because we need more love in the world.
Chapter 10 : No Child Left Behind , Why the teachers union loves your child more than you.
Chapter 11 Judge Sonia Sotomayor :A wise Latino woman on the court can better decide whats fair for you.
Chapter 12: Its not a child, its a choice. How to move on with your life after getting the good news.

Laura Bush is a RINO, and any “conservative” who continues to defend her despite knowing of her record is also a RINO.
