Wow! We got rid of the tube in our house 14 years back.

So, I occassionally watch snippets of the news here.

No offense to Mr. Buchnan, but when I am exposed to TV news these days I can only say that it is absolutely freakish and unlike anything that I remember before I tuned out.

Having three news channels, each with twenty-four hours to fill in a slow news day, produces such freakishness.

There was a comedy movie back in 1976 called "Tunnel Vision" showing a future world where television went off in a wild direction, as people quit their jobs to stay home and watch. The world of 2009 cable television is not too far off from what that movie predicted!
