Clearly the McCain and Palin camps still aren’t on the best of terms.

How is this so clear? I like Sarah a lot, but I will have to see who is running before I decide who I will support.

I agree. I don’t really see anything wrong with her answer. Maybe a nod to Palin such as “We like Sarah Palin a lot but I have no idea of she’s even interested in running for the nomination in 2012 and neither do you... so speculating on who I’m going to vote for in 2012 is just silly at this point. We’re barely done with the 2008 election.” That probably could have cut off the “gotcha” at the pass.

Does anyone remember anyone asking if Gore would support Leiberman in 2004 for President right after the 2000 election? The question is designed to leave a perception of a rift in the GOP.

I agree. Why would anyone select their horse before knowing all the horses in the field?
