If we had a nation of informed, intellegent people, this would scare the crap out of everyone.

A President who REFUSES to show he is even eligible to sit on the seat he RULES from is threatening anyone who dares to challenge him?

No one has mentioned that in bringing sanctions against the accusers, they have made themselves vulnerable.

The accused are entitled, by law, to seek/subpoena discovery of all relevant information in their defense.

“A President who REFUSES to show he is even eligible to sit on the seat he RULES from is threatening anyone who dares to challenge him?”

A small correction, if you will.

A President who REFUSES to show he is even eligible to sit on the seat he SERVES THE PEOPLE from (or should be)is threatening anyone who dares to challenge him?

I’m sure you didn’t mean it this way:

But the idea that ‘we the people’ are here to serve at the leisure of our government officials — rather than the other way around — needs to be put to rest.

In a way your wording is correct — our servants HAVE become our rulers.

Somehow this trend has to be reversed.
