What really disgusts me about this is the Obama Administration putting forth names that they know will be offensive to the Vatican. By nominating people with pro-choice and pro-gay rights positions, the Obama Administration is either dumber than rocks or trying to provocative. Although I am finding it harder and harder to dismiss the former, I suspect the latter applies here.
This disrespectful shoving of views down their opposition's throat is also evident in the forcing health care professionals to provide abortion services despite their personal convictions.
