this is my favorite.....airport departure to a mouthy pilot:
climb on runway heading until you run out of fuel...
LOL! (Priceless!)
LOL
I’m tough ... daughter of a Marine pilot and sister to two Army brothers plus an uncle from the Air Force ....
I feel sorry for those two Army brothers.
I’m sure they had their hands full what with you and all.
:-)
The Marine dad can take care of things but I’ve been around a few Air Force pilots. They are good at playing good darts, Backgammon, horse shoes and any other drinking or waste time game.
Air Force pilots - flare to land, squat to pee .... (dad says)
I like to take a plane,
read its flight characteristics,
find what its peramiters for landing are then beating them.
In other words if a cesna 150 says it should land in 1200 feet I like to get in about 800 using an exagerated flare.
But yes, I do think they squat when they pee.
LOL. GOOD one
When I fly GA I like to use something like an Aeronca to practice getting into tight places ... tail draggers are a lot better for grass short field landings ... that nose gear is too fragile ....
ps - got to fly a Remos G3-600 sport plane ... neat ....BTW on that one thread about best WWII plane .... the English Typhoon rocket firing plane ... fast, took out many German tanks .... I think Scotty of Star Trek fame flew one ....
I’ll look it up.
nothing i like better than an A-10 in search of a tank needing to be destroyed.
My understanding it was faster than the P51 - as a low level attack plane ....
