If he wants to wear dress blues, then he should volunteer to be part of the color guard. He could wear his uniform during the flag presentation then get into his cap and gown for the remainder of the ceremony.

What a laugh, I bet no flag ceremony or pledge to the flag!

My grandson’s last event did not even have a flag in sight for the Christmas program...I inquired and was told it was not part of assemblies any more in that PUBLIC School.

How about when someone wants to wear military dress uniform we say excellent,
when someone want to wear his eagle scout uniform we go right ahead
when some guy wants to wear a dress we say take a freakin hike.
