I see your point and your suspicion may be warranted, but the police did focus on searching the church a few days ago so the connection between the crime and the church was already made, and now the suspect is associated with that church.
The original story does not use the word “Sunday” in the headline.
The only thing that is relevant to the religion haters in “journalism” is that she is, was or may be a Christian. All the more juicy that she happens to be the grand daughter of a Baptist minister.
No mention of where, what, why or how. If I were to speculate, I would guess that she is an insane person, and probably has a liberal and relativist world view.
