SO AM I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's beyond stupid. First of all, the kids have wanted a dog for years and both dumbo and his manbeast, angry wife were too selfish to let them have one. Then the promise right after the election. Then after the inauguration. Not it's April and still nothing. He's waiting for a time when he needs some good PR, then they will get the dog. Now they have the WH staff to deal with it so they don't have to. How much you want to bet when they are out of our WH, there will be some excuse to get rid of the dog. Either it bites, can't be house trained, one of the kids allergic, some excuse will come up.
A Portuguese Water dog is a horrible choice.

PW dogs working drive demands consistent attention in the form of regular vigorous exercise and mental challenges. They are not to be mistaken for “couch potatoes”. The can be yappy, their coat mats and has to be brushed a lot to avoid mats. This is a working dog. Bad choice for the lifestyle in the WH. They are also bad chewers, especially if they get bored and they get bored easily. My cousin had 2 of them. She loved them but said never again. Too demanding, too wild, too high maintenance.
