The ex-Seal can say what he wants but getting the captain back alive (if that is the highest priority) can be a real problem. That is a covered boat. It can be done but they better plan real well. I would not under estimate these feral critters

He’s too busy trying to figure out which vital military equipment we can dump next.
I suspect the lifeboat is built to be exceptionally hard to sink. Probably a foam filled hull. At best they might be able to penetrate it enough to listen and maybe see inside without being discovered themselves.
I doubt they will allow the boat to reach shore. If nothing else I suspect divers could anchor it to prevent it from going any further.

Let’s not let reason get into the discussion now, I have seen on other threads people wondering why snipers haven’t shot the pirates in the “rowboat”. Don’t these people actually watch the news? I, for one, think that our Navy has every intention of getting this man back alive (unlike the French) and I trust our Navy can do that.

The first time I ever wrote the White House was when one of our U.S. Marine embassy guards was taken hostage in Iran.
It was then we learned Carter had prohibited them from carrying ammo for their weapons.
I was so blistering mad at the idea of setting up our Marines as unarmed pawns, I was not very civil.
I give it a week and we are there.
The way I understood the interview this guy is not an EX Seal. The way I heard it he is still actively involved in Special Ops. That is why FNC didn’t give his full name or show his face.
