I took a blogging seminar, recently. One thing that struck me-Farsi was one of the top ten blogging languages. A high percentage of the Iranian urban classes blog and the vast majority of Iranian bloggers seem to be PO’d with the system.
It would be fascinating to try and mine this wealth of open source info. Unfortunately, the news clearing sites the Iranians themselves have organized seem to be mostly about interests, gossip and venting.

I find the term “arch-conservative” used to describe Ahmedinejad offensive beyond words. If he’s an “arch conservative” I’m a duck.
