SNIPPET: "Israeli naval patrol identifies Palestinian fishing boat moving towards Israel; boat, apparently unmanned, explodes as it nears coast; no injuries, damage reported. IDF sources believe incident was botched terror attack"

SNIPPET: "A Palestinian fishing boat exploded as it neared the Israeli coast from the direction of Gaza.

IDF sources estimated that the booby-trapped boat was activated by remote control and meant to explode near an Israeli Navy vessel or a coastal community.

A naval patrol followed the boat for about an hour and spotted no people on board. As it was several hundred meters off the Gaza shore and heading north the boat exploded.

None of the soldiers was injured and no damage was reported."

I hate RC boats that do that.

The bad guys are advancing .. ever advancing their technology.

If there was no 'operator' vessel nearby, they've learned some sort of GPS system of delivery.

As zero took us over by stealth, the world is in danger and I have only a little obvious difficulty in accepting a very large glass facility in the Middle East.

If I think about fishing, I think about untangling the rod/reel, what to drink while engaging in staring at the water, the weather, etc. Not wrapping the line around someone else's neck.

Well, we know the jihadis are getting support from their brethren in England.... but you know, I didn’t think anyone - not even terrorists - was stupid enough to willingly install Lucas Electric products in a new project....

I don't consider myself normal. Second hand continuous comments from third parties generally agree. Take the good with the bad from not always 'going with the flow'.

They can't outlaw fishing boats. Is this something that has happened on a regular basis before Cindy? Or are we reading tomorrow's headlines as well?

Israel blew it up I do believe. It didn’t explode on its on. The fact that they followed it and noted it was unmanned tells me they blew it up.

It’s a good thing they could track this one. From what I know Israel security forces are virtual elites in their given tasks. Trying to monitor all those fishing boats sounds a bit iffy though.

According to the article it was blown up by a “remote control” advice. See article in post no. 1.

Sounds like it to me, too. Israel blew it up and said 'Oopsie, your boat just blew up all by itself.'

Ha Ha, good for them.

Regarding your questions...

This is a current news article of interest, so I posted it.

It is important if you consider:

1. Terrorism
2. Jihadi Terrorism
3. The bombing of the USS Cole
4. Review of this 2007 article:
