You are either a saint or a glutton for punishment for wanting to be a teacher. I admire your determination for pursuing your goal. I wouldn’t mind being a teacher but I might have to kill a couple of kids in the process. The behavior problems, the “no child left behind” and the bogus self esteem crap is just too much to take. One of the reasons I want to teach is because of the many bad teachers and I hope to be a light in an increasingly dark place. I will admit I am a little nervous - just based on what I’m seeing in the college right now - but your well wishes are much, much needed and I thank you from the bottom of my feisty little heart.
Oh, and I am neither a saint (far from it) nor a glutton for punishment, just a Christian with a heart for kids and a feisty Irish gal who still has some energy and life to share.
