Why should she feel foolish. I would be that is what the little ba**** told Bristol when she first had sex with him. Guys have used that lie down through the centuries. Yep, maybe Sarah should have been more cautious but I bet she was doing what the great RINO McCain told her to do. Besides, she can only go by what people tell her. I bet Bristol believed it at the time also.
Like many young and foolish men, he only wanted the sex and probably lied through his teeth to get it.

>>ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s father is taking the 19-year-old father of her grandson to task for not helping to pay for the baby’s care.<<
That’s a real issue but how is it gonna help anything talking to the media about it?

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's father is taking the 19-year-old father of her grandson to task for not helping to pay for the baby's care."
This sentence should read:
"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's father is taking the 19-year-old father of **his** grandson to task for not helping to pay for the baby's care."
in order to be coherent, gender-wise.

Boys give “love” to get sex....Girls give “sex” to GET love...when they haven’t had enough “love” at home....

Sorry but that is not the way it works. Girls give sex to get love when they have been lied to, it doesn’t matter how much love they get at home, they are human, they get horny when they make out with a boy and a few well placed lies do the trick. It has ever been so and it will always be so. Quit trying to make out as if Sarah and Todd are bad parents, they obviously are good parents.

not correct. It would be his great grandson. Sarah is the grandmother, Tripp is her grandson.

Not having a father around is a perfect example of how NOT TO BE, rather than keep as a role model - more of a reverse role model.
Adults - which is what you claim to be if your “big” enough to jump in the sack or shack up - need to take responsibility for their actions, rather than blame the absent parent for their own faults and mistakes in life.
Life isn’t so tough we cannot make proper distinctions between right and wrong, even if we weren’t taught as children. Plenty of kids from “good homes” turn out to be losers or of shallow moral character.

The entire Palin family would be wise to quit talking to the media. They don't want to make you a star, they want to make your family look foolish.

I really didn’t mean that the Palin’s were bad parents....you are correct....hormones rule the day....I should have not added that last sentence....

In that case it would not be
his grandson, now would it?
The use of "her" in the original statement is not wrong. The whole statement is a bit awkward because of the beginning. It would have been clearer thus:
"The father of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is taking the 19-year-old father or her grandson to task..."

Dont feel bad. Sarah ought to be feeling a bit foolish by now for claiming that Levi and Bristol had been planning to marry even before the pregnancy, and for parading Levi across the stage at the Republican convention as if he was a political bonus point.
Why?
She did nothing foolish; as far as we know she reported what she new AT THE TIME was the truth.
Why should she feel foolish about that.
It is Levi that should feel shame, and quite possibly you for what on it's face, looks like an attempt to slime Sarah.
I wonder what your posting history will show?

Sarah ought to be feeling a bit foolish by now for claiming that Levi and Bristol had been planning to marry even before the pregnancy, and for parading Levi across the stage at the Republican convention as if he was a political bonus point. You think that because you are a psychopolitical animal living in a jungle of kill or die. What is beyond your comprehension is that extended her love and trust to her daughter's baby's father. And what is even farther beyond your comprehension is that tens of millions of Americans understand this as the best possible approach to the situation, despite the political risk.
Spinning in hell around your own demented brain - what a pathetic profession.

Yes, you are correct as to “great grandson”! I also stand by my claim (and you seem to concur) that “his” is the correct possessive.

Wait, I read it again! “His” gt-grandson; “her” grandson. Either is correct; the original statement is correct as it stands.
Never mind. (Emily Latella voice)

Tell him if he gives up his parental rights, you won’t pursue legal avenues for child support.
