Ever drive around town with your garage door opener? Many folks never change the default code.

I’m assuming that since the clinton years, conservative’s ip info
has been monitored through echelon type programs. this is
obviously being ratcheted up by Obummer. we may all be re-education camp
designees.

Two words for a secure setup:
HARD WIRE.

This is silly and alarmist. This camera saw what anyone else outside could already see. The camera isn’t invading or violating anyone’s privacy more than any person who would be looking at the same things with his/her own eyes.

If you have a wireless camera system at your home or business, your signal can be picked up by other wireless transmitters. To prevent that, you can switch to a hard-wired system or buy a wireless signal jammer. Those are sold online for around $200.
Uhmmm, Okay. Why not protect that transmission like you do for your computers?
I guess the wireless cameras are stand alone systems.

"The weirdest thing I saw was a video store near Arkansas. When the image came up, there was a wall full of guns," said Marcus Gibson. Wha??? Like other states video stores don't carry guns? ;-)

BTW - thanks for posting this. I’ll be sure to buy a hardwired system when I get one. I don’t want anyone seeing my video/gun collection.

Ok... I clearly need more coffee. I mistakenly thought this was one of those “it is the camera’s fault” articles.

I think you might have misunderstood what was going on. The video display inside the man’s pickup was picking up OTHER camera outputs. Those camera’s were overriding the wireless connection to his own license-plate mounted camera as he drove through town going about his business.

Did you ever fire a stinger at the unmarked black copters outside?

Heck, it might be worth buying for passengers on boring trips.

Heck you don’t even have to drive around. You can just Google for open web cameras.
