If I interpret the chronology of this case, the “Chief” was still “Chief” for over nine months following this assault, and almost two years later still hasn’t spent a day in jail. If I had barged into someones home and did this, I would have been slapped in jail and had to either stay there or fork over everything I own to purchase a bail bond. A few million dollars punitive damages seems appropriate to me.
