Now you can take the high speed TGV through the Chunnel from Calais to Dover or vice versa. It is really amazing. Nothing in the US compares in comfort, quality or reliability. The French trains are usually fully booked
When traveling in France, we always use the SNCF, the French rail system. The trains are beautiful, luxurious, and very fast.The food is pretty good as well.
Just because it can is not reason enough. There are more than enough reasons why the government should not.
