St. Paul police are investigating after eggs were thrown at former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman's house in the Crocus Hill neighborhood.
It happened about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police report that recorded the incident as misdemeanor criminal damage to property.
After eggs had hit the front door of Coleman's home in the 600 block of Osceola Avenue, a resident of the home saw a man who appeared to be in his 20s outside, said Peter Panos, police spokesman. The report didn't say who the resident was or whether Coleman was home, Panos said today.
The resident then saw the man throw a few more eggs, Panos said. The number of eggs thrown wasn't in the report, he said. The egg thrower wasn't caught, Panos said.
Coleman said Wednesday that a young man had bicycled past his home this week and thrown eggs at him.

Sounds like a Franken prank.
Al Franken out on the town I see!!!
I’m sure they’ve just been dying to say “ex-Senator” in a headline.
Unless I missed the headline where Coleman has conceded, I think he’s still eating up the clock. I hope the case takes five more years to resolve.
Does Minnesota law provide for protecting personal property?
leftists have very violent, authoritarian tendencies
Every day is Halloween for the Franken people.
Norm is lucky it was just eggs considering the mindset of these, ahem, brownshirts. I guess the DHS just tagged me as member of the VRWC. Of course, I’m approaching my 6 year anniversary as a FReeper, so I’m sure I’m already there.
Seriously, I expect things to get worse for Norm. He’s RINOish, but he’s been on the frontlines. Challenge the UN and itty-bitty Al and his ‘rat party, I seriously feel for him where he lives. Sad, after being mayor of St. Paul and doing so much for them.
I guess the 20 something is truly a red-diaper doper baby. No knowledge of anything, just getting his hormonal anger on and getting kudos from his educationally challenged friends. I hope they don’t resort to something more sinister. With Che Guevara and William Ayers held up as role models, I wouldn’t be surprised.
“Does Minnesota law provide for protecting personal property?”
Yes. You cannot.
Probably was Al Franken himself.
This is a perfectly acceptable way of expressing one’s political opinion - right up there with concrete blocks from overpasses and urine bombs - as long as the person expressing is a Democrat.
Is Franken trying to be funny?
With the Far Left in complete control of DC, they have really gotten bold and nasty on their intimidation tactics. The DHS won’t call it domestic terrorism. Its just freedom of speech. Voting for Coleman is a form of terrorism according to the DHS.
Ah, I’m glad I don’t live in Minnasota then.
I rather like living in a state whose right to bear arms reads:
No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms.
That is just two sections after this:
All persons are born equally free, and have certain natural, inherent and inalienable rights, among which are the rights of enjoying and defending life and liberty, of acquiring, __possessing and protecting property__, and of seeking and obtaining safety and happiness.
Nifty, eh?
More DemoNazi Brownshirt harassment and intimidation.
If Coleman loses the recount, is he going to try to run for Governor or is Pawlenty going for a 3rd term?
I was pretty sure that you could, but only under circumstances where there’s a real threat to your life or health (I believe they call it “imminent danger” in the statute).
Of course I’m NOT a lawyer and I don’t play one on TV either, so you’d have to read the statutes yourself, but the prosecutor I spoke with (although he wouldn’t directly say whether I was right or wrong), more-a-less eluded to my take on it being correct.
Not that long ago I had cause to understand the law in MN because of an altercation I was involved in...
The real problems come into play where the law is vague; this is one of several areas where (I believe) it is intentionally vague. This is a situational thing, so you run the risk of being judged to be overzealous should you decide to use deadly force.
I think the best advice I heard on that was: better to be judged by twelve than carried by six (or something to that effect).
